I managed to get my single DIN Becker sat nave out this afternoon. Thanks to my local LR dealer who supplied me with the security code that I previously didn't have, should I have needed to put it back in.

Also thanks to Yakko for key shape, that I created by modifying 2 Blaupunkt keys to the Becker shape.

I simply plugged in the two larger plugs (power and speakers) and with one exception, all worked (except or steering wheel control, that I'm not bothered about).

All I had to do was to disconnect (snip) the telephone mute line (pin 2 C connector) as it was switching my Blaupunkt MP68 Hamburg into telephone mute state. (I've put a red plug and socket on this lead so I can reinstate it).

It's now connected to my Garmin sat nav (much more modern capabilities than the Becker) and the remote mic. The unit now autoconnects, via Bluetooth to my phone and the Garmin audio out is set to mix with the Blaupunkt output.

Luvly jubbly......

(If anyone needs help doing something similar, I'll do my best to help....ebt;)

Yep, just plug and play.

Only thing to mention is that the Freelander is wired "crossfire" as far as the speakers are concerned, which is confusing when you adjust balance/fader.

ie, front output is wired right front/left rear and rear output is wired left front and right rear.

Hello englishbullterrier

I am hoping you can help.
I have removed my freelander's (53 sport premium)standard 6 cd head unit, and am wanting to replace with a pioneer sph da02 'app' radio.

I have purchased the iso harness recommended and fitted the head unit, but no sound - not a peep. The head unit is 'on' and is functioning.

There seems to be more wires going into the car's plug, than coming out of the aftermarket connector. I assumed these were for steering controls and cd changing functions.

I am now wondering if there is any power going to the amp under the passenger seat. I am at a total loss, and pretty much everyone I have mentioned this to, are in the dark.

Hoping you can help.

cheers Danny
