Hi All!

Just bought my first ever Range Rover and I'm terrified it goes wrong! I've always wanted one but heard so many horror stories. I did lots of research beforehand and found a 2-owner, 97k with full RRSH so I'm crossing my fingers that I have found a good 'un. Being the DT I havent got the leather interior (that may change though) or any toys, but the bodywork and engine and suspension all seem good.

Just wanted to say I found loads of info on this forum and thought it was great! I just hope I don't have to post ;)

:welcome2: to the mad house:D:D

You may be as well aquainting yourself with the Rangie section, you'll need it when something goes wrong:eek::eek:
Make sure you wipe your feet before you go in though, its very posh in there apparently , just follow the smell of leather and fine cigars;););)

And when it comes to smells you'll find that Grimmer is an expert. We don't let him into the Rangie section.

Welcome to the wonderful world of P38 ownership. Don't let the posts on here put you off, remember that there are thousands of these cars out there whose owners have never heard of this place.
I joined here six months before I bought mine so, after some serious reading, I knew what to look out for when checking them. Since buying I've used the info on here to service and repair BEFORE it goes wrong so the only issue that I've had that stopped me was a failed heater hose. They can be reliable.

Thanks everyone! I've also added in P38 to my profile, although what an 'A' is I have no idea :D

I'm doing my research already as I've discovered a central locking issue - hope it's not a sign of things to come

Welcome
Ooooow another p38 victim , I mean owner :)

I'm glad you got a diesel :):):)

I enjoy saying this bit see you in ranger rover soon :p

Hi welcome
Don't worry about all the horror stories. What you need to remember is that people don't come here to post that their rangie has been running trouble free for the last 12 months.
Majority of em are sound :D
