I'm the new boy. I always lusted after a Range Rover and finally took the plunge! I bought myself a 2012 Sport. Its an immaculate, 81K miles autobiography and by far the most beautiful drive I have ever experienced. I've owned lots of cars, some new, most old, so doing a bit of maintenance myself is not so scary.
I'm not on a shoestring budget but I also don't want this ownership to entail me remortgaging the house .... on a yearly basis ! So, I would be very appreciative for any pearls of wisdom from you good people. I have had a surf through the forums and the knowledge out there tells me I'm in the right place.
My Rangy has a pretty good service history, just done also before I bought it, clean 12 month MOT and runs like a dream. I can see no evidence of a timing belt change so I'm guessing that should be something to consider soon? Maybe a gearbox service? What else would you guy's do to keep it sweet?
I've only had it a couple of weeks but a minor issue already ...... I came down one morning and the boot was open. Since then it has decided to open a few more times when I get in the car and start up. Any thoughts? I've read about possible mobile phone interference and also corroded/ dirty latch mechanisms ?
