After a very long search I have finally bought a series 3 With 12 months mot on it , one thing the owner was very honest about is that the door is sagging slightly because lower door pillar is rotten , can this be patch from abouve hinge to below or is it going to be a nightmare of a job.

Cheapest option would be prefered

At least that part looks cheap , can it bee welded in by removing door or does the whole bulkhead have to come off?
 
If I purchased a replacement pillar and walked into a garage with it has anybody got some sort of idea how much they would charge me to put it in ? obviously depends on garage but rough estimate
