Hi All.

I now have my 109 on the road. Running sweet as a clock. Since I mainly use it on bogland, what is the best tyre to use. Would removing some of the leaves from the springs make it any softer on the road.

Regards.

Chris.

If your springs are rusted they will not flex need to free them up by lubricating between the leafs a mixture of oil and paraffin or fuel [ the thinner fluid will help to carry the oil in then it evaporates off].

hey mate I too have a 109 ffr the best thing to do is to take a 2 leaves out the rear springs as these are pretty much the same as 1 ton springs (HD chassis and army great at overloading them) but while you have them apart clean each individual leave up and don't forget what order they came out in and a mix of petrol and oil or petrol and duck oil about 10% petrol with duck oil wrap them up in clingfilm and hammer it as fast as you can take along the bumpiest track you can find and watch the magic happen they will supple up and be a lot nicer to ride with and generally a black round one helps but insa special tracks are pretty good on bogland

Thanks Lads.

Should I remove 2 leaves from the front as well.

I will try the round black tyres, might do the trick.

Chris.
