Hi there first post here so hope it's in the right section!
Bit of background: have a 92 200tdi defender and I removed and glavanised the bulkhead and have everything re-attached however as above both guages are not working correctly.
Both guages have 12v to one side and when the other side is grounded, the guages read full. When ignition off fuel guage reads 0 but temperature guage sometimes stops at half way.
Fuel guage: I've tried and new fuel sender but with the sender at it's lowest position, the guage reads 1/4 full. Currently have 1/2 a tank of fuel but the guage is reading basically full? Is my guage likely to be faulty or is there anything else I can try
Temperature guage: guage was working correctly when grounded going to top then back to 0 when ignition off however the other day it stuck at half full. Before this the guage would read full after only running the engine for 2-3 mins which isn't right. Tried a new sender here too and still no luck.
Assuming my guage is faulty and I need to fit a new one can anyone reccomend a good graduated guage that gives a reading in degrees?
Also wiring for both guages has full continuity! Thanks in advance!
