Hi all, finally got Marks Nanocom to read my fault codes after disconnecting the bbus thanks to all for your help. Theres a few codes come up so let me know what you think:-
P1592 Rough road signal implausible drive cycle a occured 1 times signal invalid fault is currently present
P1668 anti theft alarm serial link fault drive cycle a occured 70 times signal too low fault is not currently present
Rear left sensor short to another se 012 times (ABS)
Right hand blend motor short fault type current (which one RHDrive car?)
Any help would be greatly received
Thanks in advance

I've googled that jase and was coming up with slabs system?
Google "p1592 range rover" and there's a post on the Australian site about it..I'm wondering if its due to your rear sensor too? It's says look on page 507 in rave?

As far as i can gather it is to do with an ABS sensor shorted to ground. I suggest you check the wiring to your sensors.

Thats what ive found too, but it said landrover fault codes so didnt know if it was for p38 too. Gotto be that rear sensor causing it. Got some blend motors off a guy on the p38 face book page, only in gt barr so will get them later and have a bash. Thanks for the help, i'll let you know how Imget on

P1592 I would guess is the ABS sensor rear left reported below.
P1668 you know what that is, your sounder has been removed/was faulty.
Beware, ABS sensor faults can sometimes be the ABS ECU.

You've got the same blend motor problem as me and it's a pain in the arse to get too!

mick

Just finished my rh blend motor, took the usual stuff out to get to it plus hevac panel and head unit, spliced in new motor with plenty of room to work, all good now, cold air again and no book symbol.

I think your ABS ecu is on its way... Sensor shorted to another sensor fault is a clear sign. The rough road signal fault is probably logged as a result of the shorted fault, the ABS ecu gives the engine ecu a signal using data from all 4 wheel speed sensors to warn of rough road conditions. This is done to disable misfire detection. The link between ABS and engine ecus is checked on start up and will give P1317/1318 faults if the link is O/C or permanently live.

Thanks, I was thinking of changing the abs sensor and lead first? Would this be the way to go? Ive also changed the blend motor today, what a pain in the rear to do! Happy that that all works now and the book has gone off the Hevac!
