Is that the old Rover 2000 type...if so yes I have read that.

Yes it was the P6 the type I was thinking of...so yes some of its internal will be from the P6.

And, after looking up an exploded diagram of a P6 - http://www.rover-classics.co.uk/imag...ix%20A_jpg.htm I see the "High gear inner and outer 561392" is the same part as the Fairey synchro assembly
