Hi there, after some advice please :)

I am embarking on travels later in the year with the Landy and thought it would be handy to install a DIN socket in the rear for extra/conveinient power supply. The Landy is a bog standard van 90 Td5 2002. I have found that there is a feed on the rear with a plug that fits the pins on the DIN socket (purple and Black wires) under the offside rear quarter wiring cover below the window. The cover has a hole already in situ which i am assuming is for cigar/DIN socket as it is the same diameter and the plug fits a treat.
The issue is that once the socket is in position there is not enough clearance for the pins and socket between the bodywork so was wondering if anyone had tried this before or if i need a specific plug socket?
Sorry if this has been covered in other threads but i've had a good look and can only find similar topics that are for Freelanders or Disco's.

Hope you can advise

Many thanks

Dave

Hi Bluehaze,

Thanks for the quick response, like u say, looks as though i will need to dust off the toolbox!! Just out of interest, is there a specific tool or drill bit that I will need or you can suggest to make the hole for the socket?

Thanks again :)
