Hi 2013 Freelander 2 external lights front and back come on for 30 seconds when I unlock then go out is this normal.
 
It's probably had the settings adjusted to do that.
Take a look in the owners handbook, which gives all the customization settings available.
 
Pretty sure it is in the settings. Not the easiest menu I recall.
Use the steering wheel buttons to scroll through the menu which appears in centre of cluster.
