Expedition-Type Roof Rack/Tray, scrapper or cheap

Hi Guys

I'm looking for some sort of Expedition roof rack or roof tray/basket to go on the back part of my D2 TD5. I've got a roof tent which will go on the standard fit bars at the front, but wanted a "mini" roof rack with gutter mounts to occupy the back half of the roof. Considering that such a thing is hard to come by (unless you count the flimsy efforts from halfords and the like) I would consider anything such as a brownchurch 90 or 110 roofrack and as I'm handy with a MIG welder would just mod it to suit what I want. I've also got access to a spray shop so condition isn't important; but looking for a cheap "project" as opposed to buying a grand's worth of expedition roof rack from a gucci supplier.
