Hi - been working in the engine bay and snapped off the Expansion Hose Outlet stub off the top of the radiator above the Radiator Top Hose.
Snapped the thing clean off with my fat elbow...
How can I fix this without replacing the whole radiator?
I'm left with a 2mm hole - surely there is some way I can tap a stub
into the hole and reconnect the hose.

Should be easy enough tapped, the outlet is for any trapped air.

You could get away with it by just tapping in a small M3/M4 bolt.

For a proper fix use a fully threaded Schrader, or Woods/Dunlop valve from a bicycle. Not sure what their thread sizes are, you could try to self tap a valve in?

Some PTFE tape wouldnt go a miss!

Thanks for that NI
I did go scratching around in my shed before you replied
thinking "What can I use?" - and guess what I found

Diameter of the shaft is the same as the stub that broke off
My son and I are just trying to work out how to get it in
there.

OK - we had a go at it - decided not to pull the radiator
and do it in the car - works perfectly. The clamp that was
on the old one is afraction loose so it's dripping a little,
but we just need a new hose clamp that's slightly smaller.

We're on our way....:)
