I have just bought two Z clamps to fit my spare wheel on my bonnet but they di not come with bolts, I hear the bolts are 1/2" BSF x 3 1/2", I have been to the couple of Engineering workshops here in Shetland and they tell me I cannot get anything like that on the Island, Haha, I am not an engineer but if I had the die and some steel bar I would make them myself but is there an equal to this size in modern day Bolts that I can buy on ebay or any other website of a sort?

That's great thanks, I realy do appreciate your time giving me that advice, it will come in very handy for lots of things but is there anywhere on this earth that I can buy two of these bolts or similar (they dont even have to have the pin holes in the bottom) delivered to me for less than £20??? :)

Google 1/2" BSF, loads of suppliers. I use Spalding fasteners for my stuff (motorcycle mainly) Your problem will always be postal charges exceed material cost.

Bought mine from [email protected] and that was extra long ones because of how I was fitting them

Cheers Divie,

I found one or two that will send them but yep postage is crazy for two bolts, if I knew the equivilent in metric I could get them from hardware store, if it is possible, thinking to look at swapping the captive nuts or do I just pay £20 for the two bolts

I will keep looking a little longer James, I still think £20 is too much for two bolts, I will probably end up paying it but will give the company mentioned a shot first

There's a lot of suppliers on ebay, I have bought various fasteners from there. Obviously your location will be a problem with the postage.
