Hi guys wounding if anyone could help me before I pull my hair out :/ I have a D4 2010 about a month ago the EPB suddenly stopped working. I get the red flashing parking brake symbol on the dashboard. When I try to apply the brake I get nothing no horrible squealing noises. I’ve replaced the brake shoes and I’ve got the same problem still. could it be the parking brake switch itself or could it be the EPB module? I don’t think is it EPB module as I’ve not heard any funny noises coming from it before and it looks like it has been changed by the previous owner as I found the emergency release cable tucked up hidden in the spare wheel my guess is they couldn’t be bothered to route it through into the cab . Scratching my head with this one any suggestions, thank you.
