The engine temperature guage on my 2.5TD 110 does not work. I have traced it to the fact that it does not have a wire from the sensor into the wiring loom.
Can anyone advise on where the wire from the sensor should go to in the loom?
I can see a 3 point connector hanging from the loom above the sensor against the bulkhead, and I assume it might connect there, but can't be sure.
Any help would be great.

On mine its just a single little black wire with a spade connector on it, it enters the loom <goes out and looks> on the other side of the engine, which then dissappears down over the bellhousing.

Hope this helps.

What I need to know is where on the loom it connects to. The wiring diagrams show the wire colour as Green with Blue tracer. I shall have to go on a hunt for that colour wire somewhere in the engine bay.

Cheers

Well, if its not connected it might be easier to look for a wire with a connector on it that looks like it might join up to the sender!

All wires are black in a landrover...

We repaired it.
The sensor is on the rear right hand side on top of th eengine head. The wire into the loom is at the front left hand side next to the water termostat. We stuffed a wire in and it all works now.
