Hi guys,
I run a D4 on a 12 plate and have purchaced the GAP IID tool. I have recently tried to active the FBH Timed Climate function using the said tool. Everything seemed to go ok, I selected "Enable" in the CCF menu/files and the usual VooDoo/magic things happened. However when it had finish I was left with fault warnings on the ABS and stability control and there was no change with regard to the timed Climate being activated.
I took her for a short drive, parked, switched off and locked her. When I unlocked and switched on again the faults had disappeared and everthing seemed ok but still no Timed Climate. I plugged in the IID tool again and there were no faults, the timed Climate was showing enabled in the CCF files but there is nothing in the Nav menu on the cars screen.
Anyone any ideas.........?
Phil

I'm guessing here, but I suspect there needs to be more than CCF changes to the CJB. It's possible that the correct software version needs to be installed in the screen, or audio systems, or wherever the timed climate is controlled from.
In the old D3, timed climate used to be part of the audio system software, but this was removed as a later update, to remove a problem where the audio system would run the battery flat. In the D3, it was possible to roll back the software to activate timed climate again.

In the D4, suspect that there's something more required, than just the CCF changes.

Iirc the changes need to happen than on more than one ecu, search on the D3/4 forum.

Do you actually have the FBH (I don’t know the D4 spec)

Ask your local LR dealer if they can print off spec.

Our L322 2011 has a remote and on the center screen for on/off options.

Never looked for it with the GAP.

Good evening guys and thankyou for your speedy repsonces,
Firstly, Marjon, yes got the FBH, it works fine when I start up and the temp is 5 or below... as per the factory settings.
With regard to the other points, when I did my research, I was given to understang that if the vehicle had factory enabled sat nav, and mine has, then enabling the timed climate was possible wtih the IID tool, basically another touch button appears along side the 4x4 button on the extra features. obviously this hasn't happened. When I looked at each ECU there were a few that were saying "update available" so maybe I have to look at these first and then try again. Was just wondering if anyone else has done this with the IID tool.
Thanks for your thoughts guys.

You must be able to do it, as the pro lr mechs on the D3 forume were doing it for people, their IID tool is just the same as yours and mine, but they are not vin locked hence the pro bit, cost 2k mind you!

I know it’s been a while but I hope you got this sorted.
Timed Climate is on the system settings menu.
You have to enable Park heating AS WELL, to get the new menu option to come on.

Here are the steps to follow using the GAP tool.

You’ll need to Start, stop your engine about 3 times afterwards and then the Timed Climate option will be available 👍
