I gottd4 56 reg and the engine management light is coming on when I'm going up big hill or towing but if I only press acceleratior down for 15 seconds it doesn't come on. The code that came up was theturbo actuator fault but the garagesaid I got to buy one first just in case it's not that ? Any suggestions

Low fuel pressure is the common cause for that. When was the fuel filter last changed? How many miles has it done? Is the low pressure fuel pump noisy?

As for the turbo. Make sure all the vacuum lines are free from splits and chafing.
It's a common fault so has been posted on here many times. Use the search facility on here too see what others did to cure it.

Thanx for that I will change filter first I do have a high pitched wirring noise since blanking egr

Is the noise coming from the rear right wheel arch? If so, it's the low pressure fuel pump. It's a common problem, that gives your light.
