Greetings,

Please see my introduction in the intro section.

Does an 04 Defender 300tdi carry an engine bay fuse box? See below. I'm aware of the box under driver's seat and the one directly in front the gear lever but is there a third? Can't seem to find it.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to your help.

Regards,
LeftFoot

I have 97 110 with a 300TDi but a 2009 body on it....my engine bay fuse box is to the right of the engine at the back. Sits on it's own bracket and takes a positive feed from the starter motor (and thus the battery).

On a genuine 1997 300tdi,

Looking from the front of the vehicle,

back right, there's a plastic box,

Unclip it, and there are your engine bay fuses

Yes I've noticed the said box Jonnyb1990. Thanks for your swift reply.

Dr. Evil my apologies for my description, this is an 04' chassis with the 300tdi engine.

I went with this arrangement due to the proven reliability and simplicity of the 300tdi over the Td5.

Where do you live, and why would you remove a TD5 and devalue the defender, for a 300 tdi....:confused:

Please do not misunderstand me. I have not replaced the Td5 engine with a 300tdi.

To my knowledge (which is limited, and i certainly do not mind being corrected) Defenders were produced as a 300Tdi in limited numbers for the export market right up to end of 06MY.
I fall under the category of "export market" as I am not located in Britain. I have driven two other defenders both of which were Td5s. In comparison, as weird as this sounds, I prefer the 300tdi. :)

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

That is why I asked. You are correct as 300tdi were put in them for other markets. So what country you from?

Personally I prefer the TDI engine over the TD5 engine! :)
