Electro - penumatic modulator

I will be taking off the EGR valve and fitting a blanking kit this weekend, having had a look where the vacuum hose go's to it is connected to the electro-pneumatic modulator which is mounted on the nearside wing which has other vacuum hoses fitted to it one which is going to the air filter box.

I am thinking of removing it would this be advisable or just blank off the vacuum hose from the AGR valve

If you remove the egr just blank the vacuum pipe, doesn't matter where you do it along its run, I removed and blanked it at the modulator and got rid of a couple of feet of pipe.
