back again!
finally wired in my roof lights this weekend and working on a relay diagram from a previous post got everything up and running on a seperate switch, which could be run with the engine not running.
got up this morn to take the car to work and could smell some elec. burning the lights AND radio no longer work with the ignition off. when the ignition is ON the radio works and when i flick the switch the lights blink on and then go immediately off. i can hear the relays ticking and havent investigated further because ive only just realised this!
ive taken a feed directly from the battery via the fuse box (25amp) to the relay. switch is in the central dash (LR 90) and small feed from other side of switch comes from the fag lighter. ive used 2 relays (4 55w lights you see!) and both are earthed. all lights are earthed, the switch is even earthed.
could someone narrow it down for me please?
my guess is a short somewhere near the batt. which may explain why nothing works without the ignition.
wrong?
cheers folks,
G
