Electric mirror problem

hi, i have a bit of an annoying problem with my electric mirrors on my 1998 automatic range rover. I adjust them into the position i want. Then whenever i select reverse the mirrors move to face the floor, im guessing it is meant to do this to enable you to see curbs etc. The problem is when i reselect drive the mirrors stay where they are (pointing at the ground) so i have to readjust them after everytime i reverse. Anyone got any ideas?

set the position of the mirrors and seats , then hold the memory and 1 buttons at the same time .
see if that helps

if you want to switch the mirror dip off set your mirrors to where you want them,select reverse then press the memory button untill the message mirror dip off comes up on the display,i hate the mirror dip,but my wife loves it

Mine do exactly the same - even with the Mirror Dip off...

I guess its one of those little things that make us love our Rangies so much!

thanks guys, il give that a try, i was struggling without the owners handbook but ive found it online now
