electric fuel pump question

just started a seriies 2 project, basically i bought it as a rolling chassis with standard petrol engine and box, the fuel pump fitted on the chassis is an electric one with double moters, i tested it today and neither moter works, question is, is there a single action electric pump on the market or better still can i fit a mechanical pump to this engine.

Mechanical best, could probably get away with an old mini / morris single diaphragm pump they are reliable and can probably still get bits, but mechanical is simples..

not sure mechanical is best - I have 2 electric Facet red tops on my Ford. They work well
