egr valve removal

i have a discovery with a 2.5 300tdi engine fitted. im looking to blank off the egr valve but do i just blank it off with a metal plate or do i go and buy the proper full kit ? landyworld have the full kit for £12.99 with free postage. which one will give me best performance? thabks in advance

aqll you need to do is put a tin blank between valve ands manifold ,leave everything else on

thats what i thought about doing to start with but theb saw that kit.
