Hello

Over the course of ownership I intend to fully dynamat the Def 90, but initially don't have £300 to do the full car. Where am I best placing some (£60 or so worth) for initial results? Thanks

Hmm. I see. I might do seat boxes and footwells first and go as high up the bulkhead as I can from the inside. Thank you both.

Even on the inside it will end up trapping water, water always finds it way inside a defender.
Inside of seat box and lids makes a big difference and conveyor belt under the rubber floor mats also helps, but in all relaity the best thing is the really soft ear plugs, plus they are way cheaper.

There are cheaper options on Ebay that will do the same job for half that price.
I've done the bulkhead (interior), the transmission tunnel and underside of bonnet. I plan to do the engine side of the bulkhead when I get round to it, and then every other surface once I've done my repaint. Oh and its cost me £54 so far.

If your bothered about regs make sure what you use is fire rated for vehicles. If not get a pile of interlocking EVA foam tiles or camping/yoga mats and glue away. They are very cheap and do the job well.
They are thicker however and need a rug over them in the foot wells for protection.
