Hi all,
I'm a newbie and this is my first post, so please go easy on me ;)
I've just replaced my faulty (According to my garage) MAF and housing but am now stuck in 'limp home' mode. All is fine when I disconnect the MAF, but as soon as I plug it back in - Same again. Am I missing something? Thought it might need an ECU reset..If so, is there any way to do this at home without my friendly moranic plugging it in to his thingy?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Might be you bought a faulty maf ?? Go back where you got it and ask for a new one, try again and return the first one.

Thanks for the replies folks. The problem arose when I took it to the heroes at JSF to solve an intermittent non-starting issue. Computer said faulty Cam shaft sensor (replaced and solved problem) and MAF. To be honest, the MAF was not an apparent issue but I thought I'd change it anyway. I thought that the replacement may be a duffer and so put the old one back in, but to no avail. Seems a bit unlikely that the original one has suddenly failed too. I'll go get another replacement tomorrow and give it a go - You never know!
just was unsure as to whether I needed that ECU reset.
