Hi all,

Over the past few days I have noticed that the suspension has been taking some time to get the RR to the normal ride position after it being set in the un-loading postion, or being parked up over night. But today after an age of waiting for the thing to get to normal ride position alarms started sounding and the display stated that the EAS was not working and that I had to maintain less than 55KmH whilest moving.

My question is could it be just the compressor that the trouble? It was bloody hot when I took a look at it just after the alarms sounded.

The plot thickens!

Well, I took the RR to the garage and we quickly came to the conclusion that the EAS compressor was as dead as a dodo. We put in a new one, but (why does there always have to be a but?!) nothing happened. The new compressor works but the system doesn't rise and the dash board warning system still says that there is an EAS problem.

Any ideas? (Please!)

You need to get the EAS ECU reset by a main dealer using Test Book, or by a Independent who has Rovercom or Autologic diagnostic computers. The system will still think there is a fault (even though you have fixed it) until the ECU is reset by one of these diagnostic computers.

Matt.
