Eas fault

HI,

Looking for abit of help/info with my 1997 38A 4.6 V8
EAS FAULT came on and then SLOW 35MPH MAX,
when I got home she dropped down to Access,
I got an EAS Kicker and it read RIGHT FRONT VALVE
COLSED PERMANITLY, I cleared the fault on the Kicker
but it just came back after a few miles, could it be the
valve block or just a solenoid in the block? or something
else, not to well up on this so hoping someone can help?

You need to read between the lines with these little darlings. valved permantly closed means it sent the signal to open the valve, but didnt detect any movement at that corner.Could be the valve, could be the spring leaking, could be airline to spring , could be ... you get the idea. Bottom line is start with the spring, which if they are originals, is your most likely suspect.

Yep, check for leaks first with soapy water spray, then download the free software from www.rswsolutions.com which will let you do things with the EAS that you can't do with the kicker. Could be a height sensor problem.
