Afternoon All.
I've a question regarding the EAS on a year 2000 P38 2.5 diesel, manual gearbox.
Problem started yesterday when the rear nearside ride height was greater than the others on standard setting. The suspension altered by using the dashboard switch, but n/s rear remained to high.
On returning home, I again ran through the settings and the ride height did adjust. I left the vehicle on high and fired my ESA diagnostics up.
On returning the vehicle showed t 35mph message on the dash, and wouldn't respond to the switch, the diagnostic tool shows no faults, and apart from being able to turn the pump on and off, the vehicle won't respond to the software, and is still on the high setting. I'm guessing it's an ECU problem, as the sensors have been replaced fairly recently. Any pointers would be gratefully received. I'm going outside to crawl around and check connections
Thanks in advance

The RSW solutions one
Did you get the "Green Good Idle"? If the slow 35moh message is there there should be a fault.
First place to check if not already done is the white connectors in the passenger side footwell at the bottom of the A post for corrosion. They are best cut out and the wires soldered and sleeved with glue filled heat shrink.

Which diag are you using?

Yes all the lights went green that should do, I had the correct info in the tx and rx columns, it read the heights etc and tried to move from one height setting to another with little success. Everything seems fine except the vehicle won't play ball. I haven't checked any internal connections. Job for tomorrow

The white connectors are a common cause of problems, the slightest trace of Verdigris will cause problems.

So it would seem it's the rear left height sensor that's playing up, swapped it with the other side, and then the right side was at the wrong height. Still no faults on the diagnostics though. New sensor ordered

Mine is playing silly buggers since the garage lifted it on a two post ramp. Expect the sensor got extended to its full range, now the car doesn’t know where it should be. Hopefully, by swapping the sensors over you have identified the issues.

A bit of an update, having fitted a new height sensor, I became apparent that the connector plug on the offending sensor was not remaining in place, a bit of cable tie bondage has provided a solution but I've found a replacement plug from a local auto specialist, it's a rear light connector for a 98 to 04 disco
I'm probably way behind and this is common knowledge, but if it helps someone, bonus.
Best regards all
