In the UK, thankfully.
Right guys, I appreciate this will be covered elsewhere on here but I've had a quick look and it isnt jumping out at me. I have the chance of a reconditioned early Landy 90 diesel to fit into my Series 3 (diesel) chassis. What mods will be required, will it fit the Series gearbox, mountings etc. Its a non turbo ( I think 2.5.)Thanks in anticipation.:)

Also....Driver's side engine mount, throttle linkage, electric feed to stop solenoid, swap exhaust manifold, water pump top hose housing, also fit electric fan in front of radiator, relocate fuel filter as pipes don't quite reach.

Gosh, so its quite a bit more than just bolting in. Thanks, I have two standard 2 1/4 diesel engines and may just recondition one of them. Thanks for the advice.:)

There's nothing too hard to do, but it's not just a case of bolting it in.

It's worth it, I did the same swap and it's a lot better.

I would probably have gone for a 200tdi, but the 2.5N/A was for nothing and it's less work to fit.

Hmmm, will have to think about this, as I have it stripped down to the chassis it may be the way to go. :)
 
Okay guys, I've made up my mind. I am going down the petrol conversion route, sod the diesels. I have just bought a Petrol Series for parts for the same price as I expected to pay for the replacement Diesel engine. Collecting it on Monday night.
