Hi, Hope someone can help, have searched the forums to no avail.
Was down in Beautiful Devon Camping over the Bank Holiday weekend. When pulling out of the site fully loaded, 5 adults, dog, roofbars with tents and camping gear on, there was a really loud knocking and thumping dull vibration through the car which felt as though I was driving on square wheels, Jumped out and all seemed to be ok. Pulled away and noise and vibration still there, then disappeared as I got up to speed. The car was really loaded up and the access out of the site very tight with a very steep incline. The car drove perfectly after and performed great all the way home, though I did detect a little more vibration at motorway speeds than I remember on the way down.
Can I assume I might have a CV joint on the way out? Do the centre bearings fail? Car has done 120k miles
