Hi. We've had our Freelander 1, (1.8 petrol-2001) just over a month, and the much promised handbook has yet to materialise from the car sales.

I was wondering if anyone who maybe had this model and has replaced it might have a handbook/manual kicking around that they no longer want or need and would be interested in selling it on. I don't mean the Haynes manual......the one that comes with the vehicle when new.

Hmm. Thanks Grimmer. I did try that from here - Download Your Manual

and it buggered my laptop up, so I had to uninstall it before I even downloaded the manual.

Don't bother with any of those (usually Russian) manual download sites, most of them are a rip-off or a scam.

You can download a handbook, direct from Land Rover's TOPIx website, here -

There's also a link to the TOPIx site from the Land Rover UK website -

The TOPIx webite is down at the moment; but, when it's up, you select your country and language, then your vehicle model and year, then go to 'owner information'.

.

Or for what it's worth see how cheaply you can get one on ebay?

It's great that in this day and age we can download stuff to our PCs and print them out, but IMHO it's good to have the maker's original printed manual in the glovebox, even if we all know where to put the key in to start it or where the fuel goes :D

Diff.
