Drivers door will not unlock with remote

I have a '52 reg D2 GS TD5 Facelift. The key fob has worked fine until today locking and unlocking the car.

Today I have now found that it locks all doors but when on unlocking, even pressing twice to unlock all doors, the drivers door remains locked. I can unlock it using the key, in fact it feels if there is a small resistance but I don't really know as I have always used the fob.

Does anyone have any ideas on the what the problem could be and how easy a fix it is?

A faulty door lock unfortunatly all the actuator & switches etc are within the lock unit so if it isn't lubrication then it's a replacement lock required around £40/45 I believe.

Oh well, off to the shop then.
