I have a 1984 90 n.a diesel. I changed the prop shaft as the u j was badly worn however now it will not drive unless the diffs are locked in either high or low ratio. When in normal mode i let the clutch and there is just no drive and a grinding noise coming from the front diffs. When in nomral mode the prop shaft can be turned by hand because there is normal drive. It will drive when locked but when the clutch is released there is a clunk which is also apparent when accelerating or slowing down.
Can anyone advise on what the problen can be?? As it worked fine before prop shaft was replaced, Or was it just a coincident??
