Hi hasanyone got any ideas on what I can do to fix the problem with my 05 l322 3.0 td6 please. I thought it was just driving up hills and the weight of the car putting pressure on my fuel pump why it would loose power then all the power kick back in a couple of mins later on a strait road. I have changed the fuel pump in the tank and fuel air and oil filter and thought that would solve it but no just my luck lol, I left work and joined a 50mph limit road about 3 mins from where I work with no revs or nothing just sitting at 50 on a strait road the car started to slow down again then the power kicked bk in, it is like it's flooding or something I'm at my whits end with this car never knew a car that had as many common faults as this any help would be much appreciated thank-you

Feel you pain had similar troubles after changing the fuel pump after mouse damage.

Diagnostics on mine 2006 didn't yield anything do you have access to a machine to see if any errors are present?

When you changed the fuel pump did you notice if the air in let was really dirty? If so try to clean it out, very dirty job but pay attention to the MAP sensor bolted to back of inlet, mine was really oily, I cleaned it and left it with the sensor tube pointing down onto tissue paper. Look for soot in the inlet pipes on the engine try to clean this but don't let debri fall into the engine. I would also have a look at the EGR valve mine was really sooty so clean that if it looks bad.

After I had rough idle and bad performance I though maybe the injectors so I took them out for testing I found a few hold down bolts loose. After cleaning the inlet and reseating the injectors my problem went away but I don't really know what cured it.
