Is there meant to be one?

I've got a small oil leak which seems to be coming from the drain hole at the bottom of the flywheel housing. Is there meant to be a plug there, from the Haynes manual's photos it looks like there isn't meant to be. Also my neighbours lightweight doesn't have one. But there is a thread inside the hole.

Many thanks in advance.

It's a drain hole incase you get an oil leak inside the housing from the crankseal or whatever. The hole is threaded to put a plug in if you're likely to go wading so the water dosn't get in.

The thread is 1/4" BSP you can get a plug from a nut and bolt stockist ironmongers pipecentre type place. But if you've got an oil leak from the hole I wouldn't bung it up for obvious reasons.
