Evening all Hope all are well on this fine evening.
So not new to disco ownership but very much wet behind the ears when it comes to a D3, and mine is testing me that's for sure.
the vehicle is:
2008(58) discovery 2.7tdv6 auto
When i first got it after a short time when starting to get warm it would kangaroo be it in drive, sport or powershift the rev range drops and picks back constantly. this problem still Happens

. then i found out i needed two front lower arms, a n/s drive shaft and a n/s rear abs sensor. Since replacing this it now gets to 35mph and disables the HDC ,Terrain and ride height selection and it lower's itself all the way down. If i pull over switch the vehicle off and back on again it resets until i go over 35mph and it happens again.
The surging feels as though it has something holding it back then releasing it again and back to holding it back again the revs drop by 500-600rpm when it does this and keeps on doing it until 3000 rpm when it seems to even out and drive smoothly until the next gear change and repeats itself again also the Traction control system kicks in for no reason That i can see anyway.

So would any of your more clued up people have any idea as to why it doing what its doing when jacking it up i did put it into offroad height and left one of the doors open. I'm sure i've made some errors in doing all this but we all have to learn and start from somewhere
Many thanks
Alex

Cheers for the replies guys so I’ve had it plugged in at my son’s garage and at first just about every module wasn’t communicating with each other , after clearing codes most stayed away, I will get a list of codes listed however for you all I get wide height sensor codes but it keeps changing each time. It will raise without any problem and quite quickly too. I do get a code for air suspension module no communication and bcm communication failure but intermittent you will have to excuse my lack of knowledge on these always had d1 300 tdi or d2’s this is a whole new concept to me but any and all help is amazing and completely appreciated
Thanks
Alex

Plus 1 what’s already been said

May I plse also add that seeing u replaced the front lower arms to ensure a full 4 x wheel alignment has been done , ur steering wheel angle sensor checked to ensure it’s correct

Then ensure the MAP sensor is clean

Regarding modules not talking to one another can do a canbus test to ensure the low and high are reading 60ohms on each circuit

Also on height sensors and not wishing to try and teach u how to suck eggs u have a 5 Vdc supply and then signal wire readings which change as the height sensor arm moves up and down

At the end of the day they are so comfortable and eat up the motorway miles with ease , alas they just need a bit more looking after

Hope that also helps u

Thank you for the reply , it’s getting booked in as we speak for a four wheel alignment I’ll run a canbus test hopefully today and I’ll check the map sensor also and report my findings it’s got a descent history with it so the bones seem good it just needs a little love
