Had a dd fitted but I have noticed that when the lights are turned on the dd screen dims with or with out eng running even with just side lights the unit comes on with ignition start up have installed new battery any help much appreciated do not know how it was connect as not their

Have you installed it?

If it was already installed when you bought it or you’ve had a company fit it, it’ll be a feature of the unit. When lights are turned on the screen will dim so it isn’t as bright at night time. Part of the system will be wired into the lights.

Thanks for that Ash good to know that it is correctly installed will go in to settings to customize setting as driving abroad most of EU you need daylight running light

They shouldn't have wired it so that the daytime running lights make it dim. Sidelights and headlights should. Take it back and get them to sort it - it won't be in the settings.

Didn’t know the drls affected it. He just said it dims when you turn the lights on?

It was in the reply to you that I spotted the DRL reference. I may have made 2+2=5...
