has anybody had any of that crap rubber door strip from paddocks, i have been trying to fit it but it keeps flirting off, i was succesfull with a short straight piece i used a bit of silicon and stuck it on , but the bendy bits are a nightmare, any tips

Where you're going to have a bend, dip that area in boiling water for a short while, enough to make it very pliable. As quickly as possible, take the hot strip to the frame and fit it, try to hold it into the frame while it 'sets' and it should keep the bend more easily.

I use 'the wife' to fetch a washing up bowl of boiling water straight out the kettle!

...As Paul D - and if you put the bit that you re putting in the hot water inside a plastic bag you don't need to dry it off before fitting either

...What about taking a flask, or even a hot water bottle (doesn't need much) and I tend to use RTV silicone for rubber stuff on mine, but whatever you have I suppose?:)
