The plan is to remove skin from new door. Get steel frame plastic coated and then put skin back on.
Started with the back door. Peeled aluminium back no problem, but the skin has adhesive bonding it to the steel. See pic
Is this usual?
I know lots of people take the skins off, so how do you release the adhesive without creasing the skin?
The pic shows the skin eased out so you can see some of the adhesive that came away. In fact it wasn't really stuck, but the rest seems to be.

Just read about the galv ones on SP panels!

Ohhh, bugger!

Someone must have taken the skin off a standard door. Is it just mine that's bonded on?

Think I'll have to use a long thin bit of metal, sharpened at the end.

I thought loads of people took them off and put them back on after welding up the steel frame! I bloody hope so!!

I'm keeping the foreskin
