door mechanism

hi all. my doors are missing the wire that connects the door lock mechanism with the plastic lock bit at the top of the door card. ive replaced them with thick coat hanger wire which works but isnt perfect. any idea what these are called and where i can get them?

MUC4214 -right
MUC4215 - left

Craddocks and Brit-car say it's obsolete and don't list an alternative.

If they do have them, I may be tempted to get a couple myself if they're no longer being made. I've had to "adjust" the n/s mechanism myself so might need this any time soon....
