Nearly got myself stuck yesterday
Up on a bog I came over a crest and instead of obeying the golden rules of off roading by getting out and checking the ground I drove straight into a soft spot in a dip. I stopped too late and was unable to reverse back, stuck in the bog.
Anway I was in the high position with the EAS disable button pressed. I could only move back or forward about 6 inches with the TC dancing merrily away (BTW all 4 tyres are fairly well shot so didn't have great traction to begin with), but I was sure that at any moment she'd hoist herself up and I'd be off. But no such luck. I got out and had a look around and saw that it was actually the two diffs that had grouded out in the peat so I got a few flat stones, threw them behind the wheels got back in, noticed the EAS button pressed so cancelled it, hit reverse and out she popped
My question is does the button stop it going into the super lift that it is supposed to go into when the Traction Control is doing its stuff or how does it work?
Before any of you real offroaders jump on me, I know it was the diffs that were stuck so the extra lift wouldn't have done anything anyway but I just want to figure out why it didn't do it.
