Doe pass.

The 110 passed its doe today with no advisories. On the way back I've developed a rumbling noise on what seems like nsf. It's not on acceleration but on deceleration at about 40mph. I just sounds like I'm going over the rumble strip. Coincidence?

Did he put in on a rolling road brake test or drive it with a taplow meter.?

Also did they use a shaker plate on it ?

The Landy Gods giveth and they taketh away! I can't see how a rolling road would affect it as long as the brakes were set OK.
If they use a shaker plate like in the North, it could have done something to the swivel bearings. Time to get the spanners out - and don't forget to check for the obvious - in case the tyre has picked up something on the drive home. Fingers crossed it's something simple/cheap.

My Mate is an MOT tester, he owns the garage, he has the very latest approved ramp for MOT but will not put a landrover on the rollers.

Won't put the newer ones either.

His statement too many expensive clever bits on them that could throw their toys out of the pram and throw up an expensive fault which he would be liable for.

As for older landy's might break something, think it can have an odd effect on the drivetrain he has always road tested them and i am happy that he does so.

Last time he picked something up while driving it that was nowt to do with MOT.

Told me to check it and he was as ever on the money.

Used the rolling Road and shaker plate. Usually pretty good there and manually tests the transmission brake.

I'll put it on the lift tomorrow and check for anything obvious. Mad cause I thought he'd fail it this time. Rubber bushes on rear shock mounts are cracking. It was raining on the way there and when I put my wipers on, the ns blade started to peel off the arm. I knew I wouldn't get away with it entirely.
