Hi again, Ive just read my last thread, heck I don't know what I was thinking the title was goupe, must have been the freelander shock!!
Anyway, Ive started this again in hope to get some help to point me in the right direction....
03 freelander 28000 miles, recently I started getting like a grating noise from the front especially on right lock, I first of all thought it was the power steering pump stressing and the belt not being tight enough. The noise worsened as reversing out of my drive in a straight line the grating noise was apparent. Also when driving in 1st and 2nd and letting the engine idle (using engine to coast) the noise is also there.
I asked for an opinion at the local agent who suggested I remove the prop although there was no sign of tire wear etc.
I did this the noise is still there. In low speeds the noise is slightly worse and I am now getting a lolly stick in your bike spokes sound.
How can I test my viscous of the car?
Is my IRD on the way out?
Or is it something I am missing altogether?
Appreciate your comments
PS my webasto fit is now on hold!!
