Do I need to replace the flywheel at the same time as the clutch?

Hi - I've a Disco 3 2.7 TDI Auto and have a mechanic replacing the clutch, however, he has said that I should have the flywheel replaced at the same time, as this is recommended. The clutch is only slipping occasionally, but there is no clattering sounds or misfires etc, which leads me to believe that I don't need the flywheel replacing.

What's the consensus recommendation?

Ref the clutch , maybe he means as mentioned the torque converter instead of it being called a clutch

Suppose the flywheels in an auto can still wear out but not knowledgeable enough to know 100%

Thks as always
