Hello everybody
Have you tried removing dents from aluminum body using hair dryer and compressed air? If yes any tips? If no what do you suggest for removing dents?
My landy has about 40-50 of them all over the place from small poke marks to 1/8 inch deep.
Since I have to get some more serious body work done it would be a good time to take care of these dents myself before sending the truck to the shop.
tx in advance

I believe the hairdryer trick only works when its on a crease or sharp angle to allow it to pop into place... I tried it on my bonnet loads of times and nothing....

It might be worth investing in a panel beating set! Clarke do one for less than 40 pounds they are well finished for the price! 4 dollies and 3 hammers! Model number cpb7c. Kind regards. Chris:D

Manual recommends rubbing oil or soap on the panels and heating on other side till oil / soap stain vapourises , this is to anneal the alloy.

I've tried using heat (hairdryer) and then a dry ice spray, having read and seen stuff on YouTube. Tried various techniques - none worked properly. Might have made a little improvement on some. These were smaller dents like the sorts acquired by other cars opening doors on it. Certainly when the panel is well heated, it feels much more flexible but I felt I probably needed some of those tools the professional dent removal people use which include little rollers etc

That was very cute zzr1200.

At the risk of starting a very juvenile conversation:
a few dents on a truck may fool pretenders to think it is due to character but 50-60 dents (in addition to a door missing) on your daily mean of transport looks like driver is too damned lazy to take care of his wheels.

None the less if anybody has any meaningful suggestions for removing dents my landy is confident enough to loose the dents.
thanks in advance:)
