I just bought my first land rover and I was trying to get it to start easier so I bought new glow plugs and I also was trying get the air out of the fuel system so I read online to crack the bleed screw on the fuel filter head but I accidentally took off the banjo bolt and now I cant get it to start, I tried to get the air out using the lift pump and I tried to turn it over and see if it would self purge but I cant get it to fire up, so im not sure if I have a bad lift pump or I put the banjo bolt on wrong but any help is appreciated

Loosen the banjo on the injection pump input, and then use the lift pump lever to bleed the system as far as the injection pump.Tighten up the banjo(injection pump input) and she should start

You need to get air out high pressure side and crack off injectors with out damaging the spill pipe connections

Where are you someone may pop along

Loosen the big nut on the top of the injectors where they go in the head. You only need to crack the nuts open, you do not need to take them right off,you are looking for fuel weeping out whilst cranking engine-Be careful not to damage the little black rubber pipes further down the injectors, they are your leak off pipes.

I cracked open the injectors and fuel was squirting out but I still cant get it to start
get someone to crank it and while cranking nip one injector open at a time till they dribble and then nip up proceed to next
