Hi could anyone help me I have a disco v8 300 series. After it's been running for a while and u turn the engine off it won't restart. The lights on the dash come on but nothing else happens no sound of the engine turning over. If I leave it 20-30 mins it will suddenly start. It's getting very annoying and would appreciate any suggestions.

what year is it?
It sounds like immobiliser spider, ignition switch or ignition relay.

check for a live feed to the starter motor fly lead when the ignition switch is turned to the 'crank' position.
