Hi All, changed the rear passenger side tyre. However the garage tried to jack up the car with it being in access height mode (they did not take it up to off road height). They tried jacking the discovery up twice before realising it needs to be in off road mode. Eventually changed the tyre. However the is a noise coming from the same side suspension when I lower the car from from Off road to either Normal/Access height. Also get a noise when I go over a bump. Its a faint clunking noise. Any idea what the issue might be?

Thanks

Where did they put the jack?

Was it a proper garage, or a fast fit tyre place?

Sounds like the put the jack under something that shouldn't be jacked under (the air compressor is underneath), and bent something.

Take it back, and get them to fix whatever they've damaged.

Oh and you should really replace tyres in pairs, or it can cause issues with the diffs.

It was a quick fit garage. But they placed the jack in right place (Solid metal beam near the wheel).
I did have both back tyres changed.
But the initally tried to jack up the side without the suspension in off-road height.

So not a garage at all, just a bunch of untrained morons, who have no common sense.

If the correct jack is used, there's no need for it to be at off road height.
Which side was the jack first placed? If it was on the LH side, just in front of the rear wheel, then it's very likely the jack has damaged the compressor, wiring or air pipes.
Take it back and get them to pay for it to be repaired at an LR garage. ;)
