Scatily-clad Playmates liberally scattered across the bonnet allowing you to eat chocolate eclairs out of their cleavages? I presume this wasn't a trick question (but it is always wishful thinking!) ? If it's to do with buying one, condition of chassis ( including no mud sitting on top of chassis rails (shows lack of attention to cleaning after off-roading)), full service history ( not necessarily dealer, 'cos reputable independent who works on same vehicle all the time and has a clue (sorry - experience of rip-off dealers (cue flames)) usually follows service requirements to the letter (unlike many main dealers - cue more flames!).
Test drive and 'work' the engine. Complaints either from under the bonnet or from seller's face are usually a bargaining point (or a precursor to a 'slap'). Town vehicles clog up quite often. Level of fuel in tank quite often lends a clue (under 1/4 tank - 'seller'). Paint scratches green-laned (and expensive to fix), rusty axles hint at fact that it's been parked underwater for some time ;) Bent or dented bars or axle casings (orr-roaded by either beginner or seriously) oil leaks from casings/hubs, blocked breathers, delaminating dash top, dash faults, obvious weld lines around body. Enough?
