Discovery 2 TD5 occasional misfire

Hello, My 2003 Discovery 2 TD5 appears to work fine when not towing my twin axle caravan, but when towing misfires approximately once every 4 to 5 miles....not a major problem but a nuisance......Does anyone have any ideas ??

check for oil around the injector loom plug where it goes into the ecu.cheap fix

check waste gate not sticking as you use the turbo alot when towing

could be a possible wiring problem. Only coming into effect when caravan is connected so making a circuit.

Wiring problem related specifically to caravan seems unlikely to me.

I wonder if it might be a stuck waste gate - that gave me a misfire under heavy acceleration.
